While you're in there, the conventional diode across the coil snubber is a great way to enhance contact pitting and welding on release. It significantly slows down the release of the armature by allowing the current to keep flowing for as long as possible. The better solution is to use higher voltage transistors, and parallel a zener across the transistor that is around 75% of the transistor VCE rating. Of course the zener also needs to be >> the voltage applied to the relay coil. Same number of parts, probably little to no cost delta, but much improved relay life especially if the load is inductive.
