Its usually dark when i would be using it, and I need the analog meter
function, the voltage changes rapidly.

Weather resistant at least, attached to a tripod leg or the 1" mast that
supports the mill.

I'm less worried about the packaging than finding something I can read at a
distance, in the dark, with rapidly bouncing input.

I have 12vdc to run it from, and I could provide 110 vac.
