So $100+ today is not too shocking. Precision 1% movements were getting expensive even in the mid-late-90s. There's a lot more material (metal and magnet) in the precision and/or wide angle movements themselves. You can still get 70mm-84mm Class 2.5 and even 1.5 types at very reasonable prices in China, but I don't think the big precision ones are in much demand with accurate digital meters so ubiquitous and inexpensive. --sp
