Seemed possibly of enough interest to a few.
Amplitude with distance is interesting.

NZ max amplitudes not liable to be 1m (we'll know in 90 minutes).
BUT a Tsunami tends to be a "step wave" - level rises and stays riz.
I've seen video of a 1 foot / 300mm tsunami arriving in Whangarei - a
northern NZ harbour used by many yachts - and reaking minot but significant
havoc. Bopats straining at moorings, dinghys breaking loose. Some yacht
groundings.
