Hi Brooke, If it's like my stove, pull off the metal disk in the center of a burner and the ridged aluminum pedestal beneath it. You will see a gas nozzle in the center. Use a round wooden toothpick to clean the nozzle hole. Then locate the metal electrode nearby. It has a ceramic insulator. Lightly clean that insulator with a scotchbrite pad. Use the pad to clean the bottom surface of the aluminum pedestal and the area of the stovetop it contacts. Reassemble. Then repeat on the other burners. Should take ten minutes total. That's always worked for me. Plus you'll restore the flame strength. Friendly regards, Bob ________________________________________ From: Piclist <[email protected]> on behalf of Brooke Sent: Friday, December 19, 2025 12:14 PM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [EE]: Flame rectification Hi Bob: I think this is the same system used on my gas stove cook top. PS sometimes there's a problem of not enough spark to light a burner. Any ideas of why? -- Have Fun, Brooke
