Happy new year!

I got involved because as a student I took interest in the school's
robotics club - and PIC microcontrollers were simply the best way to drive
16x2 LCDs, H-Bridges, servos, and such (or at least, that's what I believed
at the time - Arduinos eventually showed up although they never impressed
me compared to what could be done with a PIC and a breadboard).

Roughly 15 years later I largely owe my career to the early help I received
from Bob, Russell, and Olin, if my memory serves right.
