[EE] DIL IC Leadframes or...

Hi List, first originated post for quite some time I think so I hope I got
the tag right.

I'm on a bit of a vintage kick right now and am playing with some old 65xx
based computers (BBC Micro and C64 as well as some rather interesting
embedded 6502 boards) and want to create a few adapter boards to carry more
modern EEPROM chips and some programmable logic to replace failed parts.

I don't want to use 0.1" headers to connect them, I want the boards to have
pins which are as close to the original DIL IC packages, to that end I'm
looking for something like a DIL IC leadframe or the pins used on SIP
memory modules.

Any (cheap) options/suggestions?
