Please excuse the repost - first time I sent in HTML format, and I don't know if it got through. I am just trying to get started with my tini system, but I am having problems setting up javax.comm on my PC so it is actually able to see the tini to download the firmware. I have installed Java and javax.com, and the tini SDK. I am able to execute both JavaKit and some of the javax.comm sample applications (e.g. BlackBox). They execute, but they cannot find any serial ports. I've tried this on two PCs, both of which have at least one serial port which I know functions correctly. I have tried this using both JDK1.4.2 and JDK1.2.2. The results were the same. Is this a known problem? What is the workaround?
