The DS2502-E48 is a factory-programmed part that has an IEEE-supplied
Ethernet MAC in it. If you program a DS2502 yourself, you'll have to get
an approved MAC from the IEEE.

What you should do is buy the DS2502-E48 part from Dallas, which has the
data in it already. That way you don't have to buy MAC addresses
yourself.

Subject: [TINI]custom hardware and DS2502-E48

Dear TINI team,

We have a custom PCB.

Before fitting the DS2502 device, do we have to pre prog it? if so with
what data?

If not, does TINI prog it (with 12V pulses) automatically or do we need
to do something? if so what?
