FTP logon fail

Hello again,

I posted this message before, but as I haven´t received any response, I would like to add some information, so that somebody could give me any ideas! (I am stuck!!!!)

I thought that a serversocket object is joined to a specific pair of IP address and port. If this statement is right, and if:
1-A serversocket object in the port X is created. (TINI´s default IP is Ethernet IP)
2-a PPP_UP event is got, (and a new GPRS IP address is put as default address)

Can I say that that the serversocket, created in step 1, is not "listening" in the GPRS IP address in the port X? Or port and IP address are independent?

At first I thought that the serversocket isn´t listening in the new IP address, and that this is the reason why I can´t connect to the FTPServer with the GRPS IP... But then, I realize that I can do a telnet with the new IP, so that I must be wrong... I also realize that the FTPClient I was running in my PC, could connect to the FTPServer on the TINI, but the logon is the failing point... (At least that is what I understand after reading what the FTPClient "says"... (It is posted after this mail...))

I only try to understand why I can´t connect to the FTPServer, but I don´t know it yet!!! Could someone help me please!!

Subject: [TINI]No success in FTP connection through GPRS, but success through Ethernet!!!!!

Hello all,

We have succesfully got the PPP_UP event with no problem, after having followed the steps mentioned in http://lists.dalsemi.com/maillists/tini/2003-May/026191.html
about connecting to GPRS, and our application works OK, but we have found some problems when using the TINI´s FTPServer.

We have tried with several FTPClients in our PC, but with no success. We can connect to the FTPServer only if we use the Ethernet IP address of TINI. When we try to connect to the FTPServer with GPRS IP address, we get this response:

connecting to 213.4.184.126:21
Connected to 213.4.184.126 port 21
220 Welcome to slush. (Version 1.11) Ready for user login.
USER root ------->>>>> It spends a lot of time just here
! Receive error: Blocking call cancelled

! Logon failure, so quitting

Any ideas about why this can happen?

Thanks in advance,

Saioa Arrizabalaga
