Re: Getting tini programs to run

Thanks for the info.
smartj is an open source program, (smart java launcher,
www.revusky.com/hacks) that can be used instead of javac. It gives error
messages etc. I did have success with that in the past.
I put the comm.jar and javax.comm.properties where the documents suggest.
However this seems far more difficult than it should be.
This is what I type in:
>smartj -classpath c:\appserver\jdk\lib\comm.jar JavaKit
(From my tini bin directory)
I get this output:
Launching class JavaKit
using the Microsoft java 1.1 VM in c:\windows\system32
with classpath:
c:\Appserver\jdk\lib\comm.jar;c:\tini\tini1.12\bin;c:\tini\tini1.12\bin\tin
iclasses.jar;c:\tini\tini1.12\bin\tini.jar;c:\tini\tini1.12\bin\owapi_depen
dencies_TINI.jar;c:\tini\tini1.12\bin\modules.jar
Class JavaKit in file JavaKit.class cannot be loaded. Probably a
superclass or interface cannot be found.
This is a very frustrating error. The target 1.1 at this point doesn't
really affect things.
Comments would be very helpful.
Thanks
David
