netcam loading

Hi,

Based on netcam reference design, no TCP/IP stack
required (ROM?). Correct me if I am wrong. When the
board is turned on first time, the board will
recognize RS232 interface automatically? Still use
"java -classpath ... -flash -40" to get to netcam
through com1 and load .tini file? Looks the ip address
needs to be setup before the board can function.

Secondly, can I use usb-to-parallel chip to
interface with usb cam instead of parallel camera? Do
I need to write usb device driver or connect parallel
interface signals from microcontroller with assembly
code for direct control?

Thanks
