Not far fetched at all!  Until I had to move and (give-up my static IP
address), I had four TINI's running for 6 month (one as a gateway to the
other three (via a "proxy" on the gateway TINI, that also ran Shawn
Silverman's Tynamo TINI Web-Server. Demonstrateable, was my House Monitor
(w/many 1-Wire devices), my resume (CV), and my third "development TINI"...
all available, on the WWW and usually "up" 24/7. All four TINIs were
"wide-open" for upload/download to anyone who wanted access, and no one ever
abused the privilege.

I was also running "demos" of some of Systronix "new stuff"; there are
plenty of TINIs out there that have been public for sometime, via the WWW.

Hello fellow TINI developers

I’m a new developer to the TINI platform; although I have done Embedded
development and Java programming for some time now (Just never connected the
two)

I had an idea the other day, and was wondering what the TINI Sig think about
it.

Would it be possible to set up a number of remotely placed TINI boards (All
with different hardware peripherals/configurations) that members of the TINI
Sig could access to demonstrate ideas/concepts. What maybe even better is if
web cam(s) were set up to monitor what is going on in real-time.

This may be a good thing for Dallas Semi, as TINI developers can work with
and develop code for NEW peripherals that Dallas Semiconductor, other
manufacturers or members of the TINI Sig have developed. Ultimately, this
could mean, developers are able to sample the goods before purchasing them
;-)

Sound a bit far fetched? Well, it’s only an idea ;-)
