RE: alternative flash devices for the tini

What I have found out is that the so-called "standard flash programming
algorithm" does not really exist. All that is "standard" is the means to
read the device type so that the software can then adjust for it. Beyond
getting the device ID, very few flashes can be programmed with the exact
same algorithm. (That according to a flash part maker.)

Macronix America makes a 2nd source to the AMD flash.  The part number
is MX29LV081TC-70.  I just received samples and will be testing this
week to verify they are compatible with the flash programming algorithm.
