Problem with MDIO/MDC Interface

Hi everyone!
I try to use the MDIO/MDC -interface to communicate
to a phy.

But all i see is  both on Pin 18 (MDC) periodic clocks signals and on
Pin 19 (MDIO)  periodic data signals without using the readMII/ writeMII
classes.
Has anybody an idea?
