Why from read/write? I would think it would be okay to read from everywhere, so why put the restriction? In fact, why even protect writing at all since flash needs special commands before it can be written to, which from my understanding of DataPort, you can't do. I disagree with *any* superficial protection in DataPort. Can you please describe your justification for having any? I mean I can get around this with a native method.
