Hi Bernard, I think that you should use memory bank 40H for the tin400. See also the application note app613.pdf at the dallas site. I used the Keil compiler on that bank and it works with that bank in both the reset and the 'X' startup case. The example of the internet speaker may use a different memory layout in the hardware design I believe. I try to run program with "rom_init" ROM exported function. It is short program with TINI header, assebled by "a390" and similar to begin of "speaker.a51". I load it to 4F bank by JavaKit & Serial Loader. I run program in 2 ways: 1. I use G (or X) Serial Loader command. or 2. I put in J5 jumper and click JavaKit "Reset" to omit Serial Loader and let find user code. In 1-st way program works properly. In 2-nd way program hangs up inside of "rom_init" function. But shorter program - without "rom_init" function - works properly in 1-st and 2-nd way!!! It means that Serial Loader does something special for running ROM-functions. Does everybody know what is this? Any help would be appreciated.
