This can happen if your TINI is hooked up to a HUB which is, in turn, uplinked to a switch. The hub copies the broadcast to all of it's ports as well as to the switch uplink. The switch then sees the broadcast and sends it to all the appropriate ports, per the broadcast address, including the port that goes BACK to your hub. I know -- I have this same setup at work (a hub in my cubicle hooked to the main switch/route in the comms closet) and I'm seeing my TINI's UDP broadcasts twice on the PC's on my hub.
