Upgrade DS80C400 to 1.12

Hi guys, I am stuck, please help.. it's something silly.. I am trying to upgrade my DS80C400 with the 1.12 (from 1.11) precisely following the Readme.txt. When I come to the point in JavaKit when slush is uploaded and I get a prompt, I type: e <RETURN> to run it. I don't get any output in JavaKit at all, but instead I see that the board restarts. Before I started to mess with the upgrade, I had a tiny program in the startup which blinks the led several times to indicate the boot up. I understand that after upgrading the firmware all previous programs supposed to get lost. Right? And anyway, why the slush doesn't return to me in JavaKit ??? I need to reconfigure the IP and other things and it looks that JavaKit is the only way right now..
