I see no relevant differences, with respect to the erase and programming sequences, between the Am29LV081B (flash on TINIm400, see http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/white_papers_and_tech_docs/21525.pdf ) and the Am29LV040B (see http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/white_papers_and_tech_docs/21354e.pdf), other than the number of available sectors. Are you sure your decode logic maps your flash base address to bank 40 (address 0x400000)?. Desai, Sohail wrote: >Hi all, > >I am using an AMD AM29LV040B flash with a DS80C400. The boot loader for some reason will not program the flash ( I get a 'could not Zap bank 40' error) although the DS80C400 supplemental datasheet says that it can program virtually any AMD flash. Will I have to write my own loader utility? And if so how do I go about loading it into and executing from SRAM?
