Do you know if Dallas has any plans to make this version of TINIOS a 
standard release?

On a related note, Shawn Silverman is working on a system which would 
restore from flash every time you boot up, rather than using the NVRAM file 
system. This would potentially add some more robustness to systems with a 
lot of flash such as TStik which comes with 2 MBytes.
