If I understand correctly, you are conecting via the Tini serial port to/thru a GSM/GPRS modem via PPP to the Internet in both cases ( GSM and GPRS), but GPRS fails and GSM works. My question would be: how could/does Tini know if GSM or GPRS is at the OTHER side of the modem! Wouldn't it all look like serial-PPP to Tini or does the modem do something strange when connected to GPRS? -----Original Message----- From: tini-admin-6tN4nzCoH/[email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]On Behalf Of Simon Sent: Tuesday, March 30, 2004 7:16 AM To: tini-6tN4nzCoH/[email protected] Subject: [TINI]TiniHttpServer and GPRS or Tynamo? This is my first post, so hello to all. I need some assistance debugging a TINI problem. I have a Tini 400, firmware 1.12. This is connected to a GSM/GPRS modem via serial4. Thus far, I have a ppp client program written and tested, that will connect to the internet over both GSM and GPRS, and will host a basic web page based on TINIWebServer. (I should mention that I have static IP GPRS) The problem comes with TiniHttpServer. When connected over ethernet or GSM, TiniHttpServer works just fine. It just won't work over GPRS. The remote web browser sends the request to the Tini, which sees the request and goes into state . It then gets stuck and the TiniHttpServer won't send the web page up the serial link to the web. (I know because I am monitoring the serial between the TINI and the modem) Anyone seen this before? I've checked the TiniHttpServer properties and it is using port 80. I've also followed all the tips in the archives about GPRS. My ppp connection is the default, and my ethernet subnet is 255.255.255.255 Has anyone managed to get a web server to run properly over GPRS? Should I be using Tynamo instead? (I have tried Tynamo, but could not get it to build correctly for my firmware) As ever, I'm on a tight deadline with this, so would appreciate some help from anyone out there.
