Dear Mandy - 'C'-ommit everything to battery backed-up flash RAM with:

ipconfig -C (uppercase) at the TINI prompt.

Best regards, Kelly Smith

Kelly,

Thanks a lot, I have just realised the IP on TINI has somehow reset itself.
Now, the problem is solved. Any suggestion as to why the TINI's IP got
reseted?

Thanks,
Mandy

Dear Mandy - Make sure that you have a valid "pair" of IP address's and
netmask. You can use ipconfig on your TINI to see this, and depending on
the operating system (some for of Windoze, I presume), you can also examine
the IP address/netmask from the PC that your are telneting from.

"Standard" private networks woould be something like:

IP Address = 192.168.1.1, 192.168.1.2, 192.168.1.3 (for three PC/TINI's),
with a netmask for all as: 255.255.255.0.

Give that a try, and make sure that BOTH SIDES (client/host) are correctly
setup. The other problem MAY be that if you are going DIRECT to the TINI
from the ethernet connection cable from a single PC, it needs to be a
CROSS-OVER Category 5 cable (hub connected PCs/TINIs are a STRAIGHT-THROUGH
ethernet cable.

If you get both above items correct, it WILL WORK. Let us know if you still
have problems after trying the above.

Best regards. Kelly Smith

Dear all,

I cannot get a telnet connection over the ethernet port, can someone please
help? Serial link is fine, and the command "stats" shows that telnet is
indeed running, the ethernet indication led is also flashing. Any ideas?
