NetBoot Questions

Can someone at DalSemi please describe the exact DHCP specification 
that NetBoot on the '400 chip follows?  NetBoot only appears to work 
with DHCP on Windows, and not hardware routers.  Does it have something 
to do with ARP?

I would like to request that the designers seriously stop considering 
specialized support for quirks in the Windows implementation of the 
various Internet protocols (lease timeouts, for example).  It is often 
the case that Windows does not exactly follow the specifications 
correctly.  <-- If I am incorrect regarding these comments, I am very 
open to suggestions and corrections.  I'm basing them on observations.
