Hello,

I'm working on a data-logging application where a TINI controls a number of
I2C sensors, which it samples at intervals. Sensor records are then
forwarded back over Ethernet to a PC. The format for the TINI to PC
messages is based on XML, so it's relatively verbose. I'm using a
PrintWriter to do the formatted XML output over Ethernet.

My problem is that the IO is astonishingly slow - the TINI is being
outperformed by a Basic Stamp! Is there anything I can do to speed things
up?

Julian
