Hello all, I'm looking for the easiest and cheapest way to put my 1-wire project on Ethernet, and have (off course) chosen TINI. However, I'm a bit confused by the idea behind the distribution of TINI. I am told by my distributor (Maxim Denmark) that Maxim aren't too keen on selling TINI-boards/Sockets for production, since they were ment for evaluation only - actually they are planning to limit the number of TINI-boards pr. order/customer to 10. Now, this would be fine if there were alternatives to Maxim/DS. However, I haven't been able to find any that weren't more expensive that Maxim, (for example Systronics). It seems odd, that the evaluation kit is the cheapest way to proceed? Next thing is, that I only need the 1-wire and the Ethernet interfaces from the TINI. Does anyone know of a product like this (a "minimal TINI")? I would like to put this "minimal board" into my end product, so the size of the DSTINIS400 or the Systronics boards are a bit large, especially since I dont need the "extra stuff". I know I could just start designing on my own, but I'm not too keen on (read: able to do) that, and I don't need 100's of boards. So this is an invitation to you guys: Make a TINI-board as small and cheap as possible - and make both me and Maxim happy! Hope to start a little discussion here... looking foreward to any responses :-) Nicolai Dvinge _______________________________________________ TINI mailing list TINI-6tN4nzCoH/[email protected] To UNSUBSCRIBE, edit your profile, or see list archives: http://lists.dalsemi.com/mailman/listinfo/tini
