Dear NZG - My vote is for the RJ11 for 1-Wire, that is compatible with pinouts for DalSemi, Systronix, and AAG Electronica products. There are "other" products out there for 1-Wire that do not comply (a 1-wire hub comes to mind), but the volume market appears to be the three noted above, as well as the "Link" and DS9097U/ product pinouts. IMHO... On this rev we would like to bring out the one-wire lines into some kind of jack, but haven't made a decision on what yet. The Dallas carrier uses an RJ11 jack to bring out the OW network, is this standard? Does this get routed to OW "hubs" or do users just chop up the other end of their wire to connect it to individual devices? Would a screw terminal be better?
