Hi, I'm developing an SNMP agent on the TINI and one of the features of the agent is a configuration procedure which allows you to change the IP address, subnet mask and gateway. I have 2 sockets on the TINI on ports 161 and 162 for SNMP and since I'm currently bootstrapped to slush I have the telnet and ftp sockets up as well. When I change IP addresses I don't close the sockets or reopen after the change. I just go ahead and issue calls to change the network settings. Is this safe? I've been doing it for a while now and the sockets seem to work just fine. Today though when I did an IP, subnet and gateway change the entire heap got cleared. Is this related? Why would the heap clear itself and wipe all my files? What are the normal reasons for this? On a separate note, I'd like to replace slush and have my application run as the primary app in flash. How do I go about adding telnet, ftp and serial servers to my application now that slush won't be in the picture? Thanks, Jonathan Sharret TELEGRID Technologies, Inc.
