Dear Louai - To quote from the "TINI Book" (Listing 10.4 PushButton), where
I added the "note markers as '[x]' for notes 3 and 4:

The program shown in Listing 10.4 listens for external interrupts. Every
time
an external interrupt occurs, it simply increments an event counter. For the
sake of
making the event causing the interrupts more concrete, a push-button switch
was
used to generate the interrupts.[3] To test the example one side of the
switch is connected
to the external interrupt pin [4] and the other side to ground. Recall that
the
external interrupt pin is pulled high to its inactive state internally. When
the switch
is closed, by depressing the push button, the external interrupt pin is
pulled to
ground, generating a falling edge that causes the interrupt.

...And note 4 (page 222) its-self is:

4. Pin 23 on the TINI Board Model 390.

...pin 23on the TINI with a 80C390 MPU, is EXTINIT (low true).

The DSTINIM400 has an entirely different edge connector for I/O (Ref: page 5
of; http://pdfserv.maxim-ic.com/en/ds/DSTINIM400.pdf ).

Its all explained here:
http://lists.dalsemi.com/maillists/tini/2003-August/093364.html

Are you using the new TINI SDK 1.12???

So; Louai-Louai... me gotta go now. <-- I could not resist!
It's a 60's sorta thing...

Best regards, Kelly Smith

Subject: [TINI]External Interrupts and CAN Questions on the DSTINIs400

Hi all,
I am using DSTINIs400 socket with my DSTINIm400 to build some
applications. I am still exploring the boards and I would like to know the
following.
1- I discovered one pin in the data sheet called nExtInt, I tried to use
this pin with the PushButton example given in the TINI book, but the
external interrupt is not triggered. I am wondering if this is the right pin
or not. I addition, how many external interrupts are visible from the
DSTINIs400 evaluation board?

2- I am trying to find any software/hardware resources on how to operate the
CAN bus of TINI but I could not. How can I start that?

Regards
