Does this mean that on a 1000K board, you have 63K left after the 
modified slush loads?  This is probably the problem as the default slush 
leaves about 700K free which would give your application 10 times the 
breathing room.

Check your build directory for files that should not be built into 
Slush.  Check that the modifications to slush do not allocate the 
additional 600K.

Also, verify that the slush 'java' command is not modified.
