I did post to the Freescale Forum; but thanks for the tip.

A quick question about the code you included:
  --what version of CodeWarrior did you use?
  --what tool chain were you using?
  --was it a ".s" file?

I just tried compiling it and got the same result I was getting before so I
think I might be missing something in my compiler.
