Hi Ron

Thanks for your input.

Currently I am trying to get the Axiom sample application working 
with the Diab compiler...this at present seems the 'simplest' option.

With regard to CodeWarrior...when all I want to do is generate some 
VERY basic code to run on the target processor (at present I do not 
want to debug or download via CodeWarrior) then all the 
examples/tutorials over complicated. I program that writes to a 
variable a does nothing else would be heaven!!
