What do you mean?
I meant that if you call something like this ...

    m_pShouldBeNonZero->DoSomething()

but the pointer is NULL/zero, then it would be nice for the program to
automatically crash.

Surely there must be a register in the 555 which can be setup so that
any memory access out of the expected range can cause a crash.
