        Thanks for the info, it works now. I did it like you said 
just changed the pointer and added an extra port so instead of 
standard initport I have initport1, initport2. But the address I used 
for QSMCM_B was 0x305408. 
Actually in the Codewarrior you just use add the UART SCI.a library 
file. I modified the standard stationery(mpc5xx_sci.c) and added the 
two port functions. I  built and included it in my project.
