It doesn't appear that anyone ever responded to you on this. I'm not going
to be much help, but I can say with confidence that the answer to your
question is yes. From what I've read, you can, for example, configure a TPU
channel as PMMX that tracks the crankshaft position. Then you program TPU
channels with the function PSP12 to control fuel injectors. So the PMMX
triggers each of the PSP12 channels at pre-determined crank positions, and
the PSP12 function controls how long the injector is open (fuel setting).
The trigger to each PSP12 channel is an internal link from the PMMX channel,
I believe. 

 

You might want to be careful which channels you choose for which functions,
there might be some limitations on which channels can be linked to other
channels.

A quick question on the TPU.  Is there some way to link TPU channels in
software so that you can run different functions on different channels all
based on the input to one channel?    I want to share a single encoder
signal with multiple TPU channels and run NITC and FQM functions on them,
but I would like to avoid adding wire jumpers if possible.  Right now our
encoder signal (after isolation) goes directly to a specific TPU channel.
Is what I would like to do possible without physically jumpering channel
inputs together?
