RE: Starting programming MPC555 TPU

You have to use the TPU in emulation mode.  In this mode, the CPU loads
the DPTRAM with TPU microcode (just a block of data as far as CPU is
concerned) and then configures the TPU to run in emulation mode i.e. it
runs the code from the RAM.

I've not put much details in here as I'm not exactly a TPU guru, but
this is the avenue you want to explore and may at least let you ask some
more detailed questions as you proceed.

Hi everybody,

I'm new to MPC555 programming, so I need some tips.  I've a MPC555 
phytec board and CodeWarrior 8.1.  I've tried the simple examples, 
HelloF1, blinky, etc, everything is working good.  But, now I want to 
interact with TPUs.

So I would like to know how to program a channel for TPU_A with a ROM 
microcode. I've search over and over, but cannot find the way to do 
it.  If somebody can point out that to me, I would be really thankful. 
 Do I just need to put some code in the main()? It sucks that phytec 
doesn't offer a TPU example.
