I don't know about others in this group, but I'd be happy to hear at least a
little about MPC chips here.  If the mail list starts getting overwhelmed by
detailed technical questions about the chips, then it can make sense to
split it up, but not otherwise.  I'd guess there's a fair amount of overlap
between users of the MPC5xx family and other MPC chips - people who've
upgraded to bigger and faster chips - and a fair amount of overlap in the
sorts of problems and solutions associated with the chips.

This is just my own opinion, and I'm not a heavy poster in this group (one
of our customers wanted an MPC561 card a while back, so we made one - it
works, they're happy, and we haven't had to do more than a small revision
since), but it struck me that your reply was somewhat draconian.
