If the mail list starts getting overwhelmed by detailed technical questions about the chips, then it can make sense to split it up, but not otherwise. I'd guess there's a fair amount of overlap between users of the MPC5xx family and other MPC chips - people who've upgraded to bigger and faster chips - and a fair amount of overlap in the sorts of problems and solutions associated with the chips. This is just my own opinion, and I'm not a heavy poster in this group (one of our customers wanted an MPC561 card a while back, so we made one - it works, they're happy, and we haven't had to do more than a small revision since), but it struck me that your reply was somewhat draconian. mvh., David ------------------------ Yahoo!
