Hi Ilija,

So you were able to get Queued SCI transmit to work using interrupts? What
steps do you have to do in the ISR to keep the queue transmitting? I can't
seem to keep it transmitting.

Thanks,

Dave

Subject: Re: [MPC500] Queued SCI with Interrupts on MPC555

Hello

I have experience with MPC565 but it should be the same since i was
porting code from MPC555. The only tricky stuff is that SCI has 2 serial
ports that share some registers, but once made properly it works.
Actually MPC565 has 2 SCI so I am able to run all 4 serial ports
simultaneously.

Imho the main topic is IRQ strategy i.e. what do u do upon interrupt.
Shall u process 2 channel interrupts independently, even if you have
pending irq from both - or all at once. First approach is simpler since
you can debug 1 channel and just clone the same stuff to other. Second
approach should decrease interrupt load but is harder to debug. I
followed KISS philosophy so I took 1st approach and i can say that there
aren't problems up to 115200 (I haven't tested higher rates).

Best regards
Ilija
