Re: Programming PB-0555 flash with Codewarrior

Thanks for your quick reply and suggestions.  I really appreciate it.

The codewarrior flash programmer tells me my programming attempt is 
successful.  It also performs a successful verification.  The fact 
that I did erase the flash and that I'm not getting any errors when 
programming has left me puzzled.


You mentioned shadow flash, which I never had to program on the 
phyCORE-565 and hadn't even thought about.  Perhaps the phyCORE 
shadow flash already contained the correct values and the PB-0555 
does not.  I'm going to read up on the shadow and see if that's my 
problem.  Any advice you can give on the subject would be helpful.


As for your other suggestions... I've been programming the internal 
flash on the MPC565 with no problems.  I've modified my linker and 
settings from that project to use the internal flash and ram of the 
555.  I verified with Axiom that my jumpers are correct.  By 
selecting the 555 in the flash programmer, the algorithms should be 
correct unless codewarrior has the wrong ones.  I've checked the 
initialization file and the register settings appear to be correct 
for the 555 (Axiom says the most important ones are the FLEN bit and 
Clock speed).

Hopefully I'll solve my problem by learning about the shadow flash.  
If you have any other advice or think looking at any of my files 
would help, please let me know.
