The reference manual describes each register and shows its reset value.
This reset value is the default setting the register will revert to
after a power on reset.

When you talk about 'initialization values', that normally means the
values your software will write to the registers at boot, which is
different from the reset values. There is usually no need for you to
write the reset values at boot since the registers already contain
those.

If you are asking what to use for your initialization values, well that
all depends on your system and what you intend to do with it. At the
very least, you'd usually setup the PLL, external memory, interrupts,
etc.

Allan

Subject: [MPC500] initialization values

Hi everyone,
i am a total rookie in the MPC world. As part of my
project i have to test the peripherals attached to the
MPC microcontroller.

I just want to know the values of different registers
of all the modules at the time of power-up. These will
be my initialization values, i guess.
So, can anyone tell me where do i get these values.

Looking forward to your answers.
Joy
