While this is not exactly what you are looking for, there is sample
GCC-compatible code here:

In particular, have a look at the AEMS related code.  You may also want to
look at the GNU Quickstart files:

http://www.ece.ualberta.ca/~jasmith/mpc555/#gnuquickstart

and you may also look at Intec Automation's Steroid Stamp board and the
SS555 Runtime Libraries, which are gcc-compatible:
