Sorry to say it, but there is no support in MPC5xx Edition, version 8.1
for the P&E micro tools!
I don't know if or when Metrowerks are going to support these well
priced tools, I was told the P&E support was coming, but not when. And
that was quite a while ago...

Quite dissapointing really, I went through a similar thing.
For programming, or non-integrated debugging support, you also need to
purchase the P&E PROGPPCZ or ICDPPCZ software tools to go with it.

I ended up with an Abatron BDI1000, http://www.abatron.ch/ not real
cheap but works great and has CW support.
These guys gave great response for me, http://www.ultsol.com/
Note I'm not affiliated with these companies in any way, YMMV.

We also bought P&E micro's bundle of the USB-ML-PPCBDM and PROGPPCZ
together for production programming, if I rememer right it was a bit
cheaper to get that bundle together...

Hope this helps!

Marc
