MPC5554 codewarrior features -- newbie question

we have the CW build only version for the MPC5554 cost $4800 approx.  
Does this version enable me to set up a project to write the code to 
flash easily?  We also have the Lauterbach ICD which seems to have the 
necessary ability to do this but I am under severe time constraints and 
would rather have the CW do this if it is part of its functionality.  
Would the more advanced version of CW for the MPC5554 have been a 
better choice?
