Nexus messages

I am interested in having direct access to the messages sent by the 
MPC565 though the Nexus port.
The only information I have found so far is that the protocol used by 
the MPC565 is slightly different to the Nexus standard.
Are the protocol and message formats public?
Is it possible to obtain this information somewhere?
