One approach is to periodically reset the decrementer count; perhaps in the=
watchdog timer reset routine. If you do it often enough, that will preven=
t the decrementer from issuing its exception.
Another might be to read from a TPU (which can be set to not use exceptions=
).
Or just handle the decrementer exception. As I recall, it can be as simple=
as a single RFI instruction.
