RE: openbrick destroyed -- can it be fixed?

Hi Jo,

about 12 month ago I accidently plugged a IBM-Laptop power supply (18V!).
First it booted, but after 20seconds all went dark.

I inspected the mainboard and found a molten TTL IC, some kind of 74xxx if I
remember right. After replacing that IC, it still won't boot.

I declared the system DEAD as in dead.
