Re: OpenBrick general questions

Q1 - What openbrick are you talking about ? The old one or the NG ?
On The NG you can install everything you want using an external HD
connected through USB2. As far as I know, at least slackware, debian and
mandrake are able to deal with perfectly.
On the old model you can either put a (big) compact flash disk and instal=
l
everyhting you want, or try with a little one (say 512 Mb) and install
less software components.
As far as I know both have an IDE connector (2.5"), but in both cases you
will have to do some
"do-it-yourself" stuff if you use the IDE connector.

Q2 - It will not at all, since the processor is x86 compliant. Depending
again on which distro oyu install,
you might recompile the kernel in order to optimize for via Nehemiah
processors, but everything will just work fine with standard x86 kernel.

I have installed a slackware distribution on a regular PC using USB
connection (USB1 at installation time) have configured the minimum there,
and the plugged
