Even though I said it works, I was using one of the Rabbit USB to Serial
cables but now when I try to use a USB to Serial adaptor that used to work
with Windows XP 32 bit it won't work on my Windows 7 64 bit machine.

 

The USB to RS232 is one of the original FTDI units that Rabbit used to sell
as one of the only ones that would work with Dynamic C. It is the one with
the BLUE cover and 2 LEDs.

 

It gets detected and I have the correct driver from FTDI but it still won't
work. Keep telling me that no Rabbit processor detected. If I switch
detection off, the board fails with a timeout.

 

This appears to be a timing issue and I have tried changing the ms setting
in the FTDI drive from 16 down to 4 and still it won't work.

 

I found this on the Digi website but it still won't work.

So, for those that responded positively to my question of how well DC
worked on Win7, perhaps you can explain why DC and the RFU don't work
work on Win7 when using a standard RS-232 port for communication.

I've even run DC in WinXP mode, and it still doesn't work with RS-232.

To clarify, its the version 10.xx series that doesn't work. DC 9.25
works fine over RS-232.
