All, I need to add more serial ports, already have a large discrete I/O requirement and have two external interrupts. Questions: 1) Scott added two quad ST16C554 chips in 2006 .... is this the way you would stil do it today? How did you support the 8 interrupt inputs? It would be great to see a schematic for this hookup 2) Like a lot of foks in this group, I find myself questioning staying with the rabbit, for all the same reasons, limited I/O, non-std and slow compiler, no 3rd party support .... Is there a 3rd party "developmen t" board that supports the R6000? Would like to use the additional non-routed resources, i/o, A/D, etc Will Digi fix the known bugs and release a R7000? ZWorld/Rabbit provided a "comfy" starting point, but I think I need to grow up and escape the madness .... If I jumped to PIC32 what model is recommended? Would you add more serial ports with the '554 pondering, Dave --- In [email protected], <tailuntailun@...> wrote: --- In [email protected], Mike van Meeteren <mike@...> wrote: > > At 07:39 AM 3/30/2006 +0000, you wrote: > > > >Hi > > As we known ,rabbit3000 has 6 serial ports.
