Hi Jim, Thanks for the reply.Let me restate my question in a clearer manner : What I need to ensure is that the correct program goes to the right Rabbit. Lets assume I have Rabbit A and Rabbit B. I have two copies of Dynamic C running on a single PC. I plug in the cable to Rabbit A and go to "Project Options > Communications" and choose an available com port say (com1) in this example. I then plug in the cable to Rabbit B and choose another comport (com2). Everything is fine. However it would be very bad if I sent Rabbits B program to Rabbit A board (Input and output not compatible). This could happen if I am careless about the connections. I thought that each of the boards might have a serial number and you could perhaps address this in the code?
